Kouyama Mitsuki is a 12-years old girl who, despite suffering from a throat tumor, wants to achieve the goal of becoming a singer. One day a couple of Shinigami (gods of death), Takuto and Meroko, appear in her room and they tell her that she has only one year left until she dies. Before that happens, Mitsuki wants to find Eichi-kun, her only love, who left for America two years ago. Mitsuki decides that she'll become a great singer, famous enough to reach the States and make Eichi-kun hear her songs. But her voice is so weak because of her illness that she won't pass any casting. In order to make her dreams come true, Takuto transforms her into a healthy 16-years old girl to take an audition. She succeeds in the audition and starts her singing career. But finding Eichi-kun won't be an easy task. Besides she's running out of time...
